Miles 33 acquires Televisual Data Limited

Miles 33 is delighted to announce that it has today acquired Televisual Data Limited “Televisual” whose headquarters are in Dundee, Scotland. Televisual has been supplying content management systems and services to Newspaper and Magazine publishers since 1992. Today Televisual offers it’s suite of editorial workflow and content management software called Asset to an ever increasing global customer base.

Despite the current economic climate, Televisual had another successful year in 2008 with continued growth in sales revenue worldwide. This was complemented with the opening of a subsidiary company in Malaysia to support it’s growing customer base in the Middle and Far East, as well as adding four new publishing centres to it’s British customer base.

Commenting on the sale Alan Gibson owner of Televisual said “This is the right move at the right time for Televisual. Following the recent growth and success of our products, especially outside of the UK, the operational and logistical challenges facing a small company are formidable. By Televisual being part of a much larger group I am very pleased to have secured the future of my products and therefore my customers, and I look forward to further successes and continued growth”.

Alan Gibson will remain with Televisual and will join the senior Management Team at Miles 33 with an aim of driving the Televisual products further into specific markets.
