Ecommerce EnablerAsset includes and an Ecommerce Enabler which allows you to create e-stores to sell the contents of Flow Server or Archive Server. An e-store is created using sets of customisable templates. There is no limit to the number of different views you can build, allowing you to create multiple e-stores each with different branding. With Ecommerce Enabler you can set up e-stores for any type of content. You can sell articles, images fro downloading or delivery as prints, electronic publications as PDF’s, or any other type of digital asset such as audio or video files. You can also sell time based access for search and retrieve sessions, allowing you to sell access to an archive on the same model as is used for conventional library research. There are also other retailing options to provide maximum flexibility in e-store design. Subscriptions allow shoppers to buy a set number of item per month without additional payment. Shoppers can create credit accounts so that consecutive low value transactions do not require multiple credit card transactions. Ecommerce Enabler also allows for price negotiation on assets. Any item in an e-store can be set as un-priced. The shopper then negotiates a price for the item, and your staff can then place the item in the shoppers basket at the agreed price, allowing them to complete or abort the purchase. Ecommerce Enabler includes a PSP (Payment Service Provider) component which is customised to link with your chosen on-line credit card processing service. This can be configured for use on either a secure on non secure server. There is also a facility for corporate ordering, allowing you to define groups of users who purchase by self generating invoices, eliminating the need for using a credit card. The Asset Ecommerce Enabler relies entirely on server side cookies, and encrypts all shopping basket information to provide a secure, future proof electronic trading environment. Shopping baskets persist for a defined time period to allow users to continue partially completed purchase sessions even after closing their browser. Purchased items also persist for a definable time, allowing multiple download attempts which may be necessary to complete delivery of large digital assets over low bandwidth lines. Items for electronic fulfilment are byte streamed directly from the server, maintaining security of the purchased items during the persistence period. The Asset Report Generator provides a set of web based sales reports such as sales per week and top selling items. You can also design custom reports, linking query data from the Asset Ecommerce module with data held in other external SQL databases. Last Updated: Sunday 18 February 2007 - 12:04 |
